And So It Begins…

After ruminating for over a decade, this site is finally set to be activated. What started as a rigidly designed blog to showcase mediocre poetry and provide updates on books no one was reading is now a proper place to publish the writing that spews from me like vomitus.

WHAT?

The immediate plan is to try and post once per day, or at least 3 to 4 days each week. The topics will vary from poetry, reviews of films, music, and movies to whatever I feel like writing on any given day. Philosophy, politics, sports, whatever – it’s all on the table. I’ll also throw in excerpts from my novels to shamelessly plug those self-published books – and I might just post long, choppy improvised jams with myself on the drums and Nick Ring (of Jack Funk) on the guitar. In addition to all that, I like to doodle. So, other than the doodles that currently decorate the site, it’s very possible that I just post a doodle that I think looks cool.

WHY?

My aim isn’t to make money or even gain followers/readers, but to make the possibility at least viable although improbable. My paying gig has showed me how online content can gain traction so life’s just too short to not try. Should this content gain traction with even two or three people (not including my mom, dad, or wife), then tentative plans for a podcast are in the works, as well as accompanying YouTube content. My third novel, and first not based in the “Laenif” universe, is in the final stages of editing and can be expected for sale in 2024. Please buy it. Tell your friends if you’ve still got some.

NO ONE CARES.

I’ve also been through the writing wringer so to speak and I’m just trying to have fun at this point. Negative reactions and non-constructive criticism that might arise from passing trolls will have minimal impact and will be ignored/deleted. Whether anyone cares or not – whether anyone likes it or not- I will keep writing because it makes me feel good. And for the first time, it will be publicly available (old social media accounts don’t count.) We’ll see what happens.
