Untitled Mini-Series about Steve
Episode 3
"His handwriting looked like the exact opposite of what neatly organized lines were embedded in the paper he wrote on. If you took the time to read it, though, there was actually a lot of meat in his words. I thought so anyway. I mean, if you're asking me, and I'm not sure that you are... but I mean, I'm not even sure he really thought that what he had written was anything... significant. He wrote it all regardless. If it wasn't for the messy handwriting, then yeah, I would tell him to go publish that fucking journal right now."

Shades Insane
a poem by Steve
-
I used to paint the day away
Becoming the strokes I made,
A universe with golden suns,
The heavens were red and blue
-

Without the gold, there’s no sun-
The days I paint are gray and long.
The paintings have grown cold
Depicting dark, hungry wolves…
-
Become art. Destroy the self.
I became the food for beasts-
Bitten, chewed, eaten, still I paint
With shades insane and bleak.
-

Without the love I gave away to make
The universe dance with golden paint-
I am lost with nothing new to create,
I have become the wolf I used to hate.
-
Steve.
