"A Silly Dream" - Poem by BW Derge from "Everywhere But Elsewhere" - written in 2010
A Silly Dream
Survival will be inevitable.
These bones know no nothing else.
Even if eyes no longer see me,
This blood will still pulse.
-

For existing is inevitable
And death’s a silly dream,
How sad this silly life is-
Come with me to nothing!
-
I don’t know what to think
Because I don’t know what’s real.
God is everywhere but elsewhere,
And I don’t know how to feel…

-
For I know the world is sick.
Cruel throughout,
And I know love is beautiful-
But when poles mesh…
Which devil should I follow?
-

Goats claim love can guide me,
Crows warn of what hell will kill me-
Either way, I am nothing.
No dogma can affect me
For forever is impossible-
But we always seem to still dream
Our silly little dreams-
