Jam Notes 14: The Butterfly Effect and Chaos Theory

Butterfly wings and chaos theory, talking about a jam from August 2022. BW Derge on the Drums, Nick Ring on the Guitar.

Jam Notes (ep. 14): Chaos Theory and the Chocolate Starfish

Late 90s, early 2000s jam sound like Incubus, Radiohead, or Limp Bizkit. Ben’s more experimental on the drums – very nice.

The jam itself is chill, sweet, and mellow. Guitar loops reversed and halved.

  • Do chocolate starfish eat or swim in hot dog flavored water?
  • Like sunlight and drops of water, nice intro on the drums
  • Reversing loops, set it to halftime when you’re stuck in a jam
  • On a march to catch a butterfly – setting the scene.
  • Stick toss crisscross? That could be the name for something.
