Episode Seven: "Gnawing Thoughts"
In the mind, many things exist. Your desires, your moral compass, memories, perceptions, loves, pleasures, fears, reasoning, imagination... It all solely exists in the mind. Trapped inside the skull. And the vessel that carries a given mind must determine these abstract concepts in order to figure out how to design a suitable physical space for the more astral consciousness to emerge.
Reality and thoughts constantly pick at each other, though. They gnaw at one another until one is finally forced to retreat into wilderness and deny the validity of the other's existence.
In the abyss, and only here- the mind is one with its own reality.

And there is, for but a small moment... some kind of peace.

"Laura."
"I'm Steve." He smiled and their hands briefly touched. "Pleased to meet you."
"You've got some manners, Steve. I'm impressed."
"Oh really? Do I not come off as someone who would be polite?"
"Well..." she shrugged as an afternoon breeze glided by. "You kind of look like an alcoholic."
to be continued...
