"The Sun High Above Me" - Poem by BW Derge from "Pillars of Salt: Book Three: A Doomed, Faceless, and Abstract Idea with Possible Deeper Meaning Presented through the Medium of Poetry" - 2004
The Sun High Above Me
Let me be
Let me be
My lights will shine
Just give it time
Wait and see
Let me be
Grow along with me
Wait and see
We are everything
In eternity-

My flesh is a breathing
Part of me perceiving
And feeling things unseen-
I don’t know what to believe.
Sometimes I sense things
Which touch something
Inside me growing numb
Swallowing my dreams-
A world of wretched things-
Everything will end now
The world melts away
The sun pours on another day
Memories become clay
Growing hard to get smashed away

We figured out our arithmetic
But grabbed temptation instead
As love gets eaten
By an always empty feeling
Every entity created is a random thought;
A distorted dream that our eyes filter
Everything is just a circle spinning
And spinning wildly around
Hoping one day to reach out,
Forget gravity supposed-
Total apathy comes with no mystery
I blinked my eye; Energy explodes-
Songs beckon the falling bombs.
I will finally be without you
But I am curious to see
How you will do
Without Me -
